Sydenham drought tolerant garden

Set on a sunny South East London site, this front garden was designed to be both beautiful and low-maintenance. Drainage was improved to support a drought-tolerant planting scheme that requires little to no watering. Inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, the design features soft yellows and purples, with plants like lavender, Verbascum, Santolina, and a sculptural olive tree at its heart.

A newly laid clay paver path gently winds through the gravel planting, while new fencing and a low brick wall define the space with a clean, contemporary finish.
